Brief Description:  The Big Lift and Right Wing Rear Channel Debur

With free pizza and drinks as bait, I lured three of my office mates to the house for lunch today to perform the big lift. This involved lifting the left wing off the work bench (one person at each corner) and setting it onto the padded, wood frame I'd previously built. Then we simultaneously lifted the wing and frame together while taking up slack on the locking hoists attached to the ceiling hooks at the top and the large eye bolts in the padded wood frame. The whole job took about 20 minutes including a tour of the airplane factory.

After lunch, I added two ratchet straps that hook into two additional ceiling joists and sling under the wing as added insurance. That should keep it where I want it.

I also completely deburred and sanded the right wing rear channel parts which I will paint and rivet tomorrow.
