Brief Description:  Install Pitot Tube

Waiting around for my fuel tank to get back from the welders, I finally bit the bullet and installed the pitot tube. I've been delaying this until the last minute as the pitot tube is fairly delicate and requires especially careful handling of the wing once it's installed.

To provide the pitot tube additional protection, I built a box from some of the scrap lumber I have laying around from the crates Zenith makes when shipping their parts. Using 2x4s and 1/4-inch plywood, I fashioned a box that slips over the pitot tube and protects it from vertical and horizontal impacts ... at least it will after I get it duct taped into place!

Lastly, I put some labels on the Ri b#1 wire/tube holes and grommets to help me remember what I have running through them since this wing will be in storage for months after I finish it, I already have each wire labeled at both ends, but I was uncomfortable using clear heat shrink to hold labels on the hoses connected to the pitot tube. The labels on the ribs should help keep things organized.
