Brief Description:  Wing Wiring

Finished the wing wiring by fashioning a metal tab with a nylon grommet in it for carrying the wiring out to my lights (nav/strobe and landing/tax). I was concerned about passing the wire through the lightening hole that passes through the outboard main spar extension without rubbing on the metal. The metal tab concept presented itself to me in Larry Winger's builder log where he used similar tabs to hold a length of PVC conduit through his wing rib lightening holes to carry the wiring down the length of the wing.

Not much to it - I cut a piece of scrap wing skin to size, filed it into the shape I wanted, drilled out a hole for the grommet on one end and an A5 rivet on the other. The hard part was pulling out and re-stringing all the wires that reach out the the wing tip to feed them through the new tab. I feel better knowing the wire's going to be well supported now.
