Brief Description: Wingtip Drillout and Fuel Cap Fitting
This morning I removed the 14 foot long PVC pipe that runs through the wing ribs (I use it to flip the wing over). I then reattached the fiberglass wing tip so I could drill out the top side of it. Once I got the wingtip back into position, the drilling was routine. I also updrilled the top side to A4 (final) rivet size.
I also finished fitting the fuel tank filler by dremeling out the hole in the leading edge to accommodate the bevel in the fuel cap housing. Now the fuel cap fits flush to the wing surface.
