Brief Description: Wing Locker Hinge Adjust / Aileron Weights Paint
This morning I worked on the wing locker outboard dzus strip as it was interfering with the wing locker door hinge slightly. I cut a small slot out of the dzus stip that the hinge will fit through which allows the door to sit even more flush with the wing. I still need to do the inboard side, but that will wait until I take the top skin off on Monday.
I also painted the weights that attach to the aileron balance arm. I wasn't sure if I needed to, but after spending a couple months in my humid garage, they were beginning to take on rust. So I cleaned them off, painted them with Rustoleum primer, then decided to experiment with paint colors so I painted them with a final coat of cobalt blue metal flake Rustoleum. This might be a nice color for my wingtips rudder tips, horizontal stabilizer tips and cowling ... the fiberglass portions of the plane.
