Brief Description: Left Leading Edge Skin Final Prep
Deburred, cleaned, sanded, masked and painted the left wing leading edge skin. I also took the opportunity to clean off the layers of finger smudges all over both sides of the skin. I didn't have much luck using denatured alcohol, so I grabbed a bottle of ArmorAll Wheel cleaner and that really got things cleaned up in a hurry. However, when I went to apply masking tape to the skin to protect the rivet holes from anti-corrosion paint bleed-through, I found the tape slid off the metal like I was trying to tape teflon. I guess ArmorAll's protectorant is in all their products. Next I used some Windex on the leading edge skin to remove the ArmorAll. After that, everything was fine.
