Brief Description: Wing Locker Cover and Rear Panel Rivet
After a two week vacation, I decided to start off slow with a couple small tasks I've been putting off. First, I drilled out and riveted the L angle braces for the wing locker door. These L angles give the door strength and set a curve in the door that matches the camber of the upper wing surface.
Second, I drilled out the rear panel for the wing locker (the aft wall of the locker). This involved setting rivet lines down both sides to align with the L Angles already attached to ribs #4 & #5 inside the wing. I also drilled out a rivet line along the bottom flange that will attach the wing locker rear panel to the bottom skin of the wing. Finally, I riveted an L angle to the top of the wing locker rear panel which supports the aft Dzus strip used to house the quick-opening fasteners that keep the locker closed in flight.
Wing locker door and back plate all drilled out, deburred and painted.
