Brief Description:  Rear Bottom Skin Clean Up

Disassembled the rear bottom skin this morning and deburred all 425 (or so) rivet holes. This involved deburring the skin, bottoms of the rear ribs, and all the skin stiffeners and bellcrank channel bracing that attaches to the rear bottom skin. I tried something new before painting ths time. I've always had problems with the anti-corrosion paint seeping through the rivet holes from the inside side of the skin onto the outside. This requires a cleanup immediately following painting so that the anti-corrision paint doesn't dry on the outside skin, which makes polishing a pain. With a piece as large as a wing skin, lifting the skin to clean off the excess on the underneath side just wasn't possible so I taped all the rivet lines with painter's masking tape to prevent the paint from seeping through the holes. We'll see how well that worked for me tomorrow.

It's a laborious, but relaxing process. And that makes tomorrow a RIVET DAY!!
