After today's Young Eagles event, Ken came over and looked over some of the things I had been working on.
He looked over the baffling I had completed and offered some suggestions about sealing everything up. He also checked out the spinner (This may be the first time Ken has ever looked things over and not had me re-do anything:-)
Like usual, he had a GREAT suggestion.
Spinner Attching filler plate - there is a rivet I wanted to have him help me drive. It is located very near the prop. He suggested I use a cherry max rivet or use a pair of modified vice grips to squeeze the rivet. (He was worried about the rivet gun slipping and dinging the prop too.)
I googled the vice grip idea and there are a number of people who have modified vice grips to squeeze #3 and #4 rivets. (The next time I'm by Harbor Freight, I will pick up a cheap pair of vice grips to test out.)
I also ordered some cherry max rivets the correct size fo the rivet hole. I think this might be option of choice.
