This afternoon after the EAA meeting, Cormac and Ben were kind enough to give me a review of the basics for soldering electrical for an airplane. I have worked with household electrical and plumbing soldering... but have never used one of the fancy temperature controlled soldering irons.
I practiced on some old parts then dove into soldering the waring lights on the panel. I had to go back and redo one joint, but I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.
Although, I forgot to wire the fuel pump wire to the fuel pump switch. (I'll use a butt connector to hook the two wires together.)
