Brief Description:  Canopy Fairing

I dove into another one of the projects I have been unsure about how to continue. Months ago, I had made a fiberglass fairing for the front of the canopy plexiglass window. Tonight I decided to go with the approach I thought would work the best. (I have spent numerous hours searching the Internet for options.)

The debate was to screw it in place or glue (or fiberglass) it in place. I decided to do both. But, the scary part was drilling holes in my canopy. I would hate to screw it up!!!!

I took a deep breath and did the final cuts on the fairing. I was worried that it wouldn't be stiff enough... but it worked out great.

I drilled holes every 10 centimeters. (I will bond it as well) 10 cm gave me an are at each nutplate where I could get to the back of it to rivet it in place.

Then, I spent the rest of the evening installing the nutplates, rivets and coutersinking the fiberglass. I'm super happy with the way it turned out.
