Working under the panel has its drawbacks. There are too many sharp things under there.
After cutting the cable cover to length, I practice putting the bend in the wire. THANK GOODNESS! It took me about 5 practice tries before I got the hand of it. I got everything hooded together and am happy with the look.
When the cabin heat door is closed, the control knob is out about 1/8 of an inch. (As per Cory's suggestion.)
