Brief Description: Control Stick Column Attachment
This evening I used the patent pending Cormac Wonder Tool to fit the bolts and washers into the control stick column.
First, I spent about an hour trying to get the bolts and washers in place. I tried everything I could think of. Cormac had run into the same problem earlier.. and had devised the coolest washer holders made from thick plastic. I made three fashioned after his model the it was super simple to install the washers.
To build the washer holders, find some plastic about the same thickness as the washers. Use a step-drill to drill the hole just a bit smaller than the washer. So the washer holder will slip off the washer after the washer is on the bolt, cut a V slot in the end.
These things are going to safe a TON of time. I'm not sure how I would have EVER gotten the washers into the control column/pushrod hole!
