Vans instructions use a blind rivet for the static air port. I decided to go with the Safe-T-Air version. The port, fittings, and tubing seem much better. (I'm glad I ordered them.)
Using the instruction that came with the Vans static air port, I measured where to drill the SafeTAir port. After measuring, re-measuring, and re-re-measuring, I drilled the hole for port. (1/4 inch hole) I then drilled holes for the rivets in the port. It gives you a choice of no rivets, 2 rivets, 4 rivets, or 6 rivets. I started out with 2 and I can't see that it will ever go anywhere. It would take a crow bar to pull it off. I used flush rivets and the distance downs from the longeron left JUST enough room to use the squeezer.
