I ended up this afternoon working on the final bulkhead rivets. I have been procrastinating doing these for months. I have not had much success with using the offset rivet tool and I was worried about dinging the frame.
I had called Vans and they said I could use blind rivets. So, I started out putting in a few blind rivets. I didn't like the way they looked so I drilled them out and decided to go for it with regular rivets. It actually went fairly smoothly. I ended using two blind rivets on each side... where I couldn't get up under the railing.
On the right side, I also drilled the hole for the electrical before riveting. Dang, it is a headache. I drilled the largest hole I could. (3/8 inch) Then, filed the hole to size. It's slow and the darn file doesn't fit well.
After the rivets were in, I sprayed the top channel and the exposed areas with primer. My interior covers most of it, but I want the rest to look nice.
After I get the final coat on, I'll be ready to start installing things permanently... I hope.
(When I was completely done, I noticed I hadn't taken any pictures so I clicked a few)
