Today Cormac and I completed a number of the pushrods. It's amazing how long we worked to complete 4 of them. We went slow and worked carefully. (But... I still goofed one up.) Tomorrow I'll be ordering the parts for a new aileron pushrod.
We completed the two 94" aileron pushrods and the elevator pushrod. The only problem we ran into with these pushrods was the build-up of primer inside the rods needed to be polished a bit.
The 27" aileron pushrods turned out to be harder. The small diameter was harder to drill straight. (For some reason.) AND... I tried squeezing the rivets and just ruined them. I drilled them out twice but when you look close, you can see a few smiles on the rod.
