Brief Description: Elevator - Dimpling - Cleco - Drilling
Today we worked on the elevators. (We are waiting on parts for the rudder) - As usual, we had a zillion things to debur - After deburring the spar and ribs, we clecoed the elevator together again and drilled out the skin. (Spar and ribs) - Then dimpled the skin, spar, and ribs. (There are some holes I can't get to with the squeezer or dimpler - so ordered a set of hand dimplers from Avery. They sell a set of dimple dies welded the end of a set of pliers.) - The control horn gave me some major trouble. The directions don't match the parts. (The parts are already pre-drilled) Luckily, someone had posted CORRECT directions on the web - Basically, everything is ready for priming now!
