This morning I worked on the back fairing. I taped the thing on nice and tight after filing it for a closer fit. Then, carefully drilled the hole through the fairing into the nut plates. I started by using a bit the drilled through into the nutplate. That way, if I missed by a bit, it self centered. I took the fairing off and drilled to the correct size. Then, I countersunk the holes. I still have some final trimming to do, but I want to install the lower fairings before tirmming any more away.
