I trimmed the bottom of the cowling this morning. I had lft the middle section full size and today trimmed it even with the sides.)
I also cut the air inlet. I'm going to move the right inside inlet a bit farther from the ring gear. I called Vans and they said there was plenty of clearance... but decided to give myself a bit more.
I sliced the bottom with the SoniCrafter then used a piece of wire to hold it in the new position. I mxed up some fiberglass and did a four ply layup of uni-directional fabric and one of the heavier bi-directional. I mixed up a bit of flox and filled in the slit I had cut.
