Today I finished the tear down of the Corvair engine. It went well and was relaxing. I needed that. So now I will focus on the clean up and inspection and then start buying parts for it. Today I pulled the heads off then the cylinders and pistons with rods attatched. After that I was able to split the case and remove the cam shaft and crank. I will toss the lifters (new cam will require new lifters) and see if I can stop in at my old shop to use the parts washer to get it nice and clean. If not I will find a shop in town that can help me out. Not much else to say but I did take more than the three pictures you see here.
