Brief Description:  Bulkhead A Pulley Brackets (Step 18)

-Cut brackets for the elevator and rudder cable pulleys to size. -Cut wooden block 1 inch width.-Placed wooden block between each pair of brackets. Clamped the brackets to the block and drilled a ΒΌ inch hole so the pulley could be mounted on the bracket. Also drilled 3/16 inch holes so the brackets could be mounted to the bulkhead.-Drilled a hole below the pivot hole so a cable retainer could be installed. (The dimensions that were given for this hole was incorrect as stated in the drawings. If it was drilled at that location the retainer would sit below the acceptable position.)-Cut the cable opening in each bracket.-The brackets were placed 3/8” above the belly on bulkhead A and centered laterally in the fuselage. The bottom mounting holes were drilled thru the bulkhead via the hole on the brackets.-Angled the top of the brackets so they would be 11/16” apart and drilled the upper mountings holes thru the bulkhead via the fuselage.-Outlined the positions of the of the cable opening in the brackets. Removed the brackets and drilled 5/8” hole thru the outlined area.
