Since I plan on upgrading the EFIS displays to a 1/2" taller high resolution display. I need to install the camlock for the map box doors below the opening for the box. To do this I used a piece of aluminum angle stock and fit it to the top of the opening for the box. This will also work to stiffen the top of the box. As it will no longer be attached to the panel along the top when I cut the panel to fit the new EFIS displays. I trimmed off most of the flange along the door. Leaving only the area needed for the camlock receptacle. With all parts drilled and deburred, I installed the camlock and riveted the stiffener to the top of the box.
Also drilled up new locations for the EFIS warning lights above the EFIS displays. Then I located the ELT panel switch where I previously planned to install the warning lights. Then I drilled up a hole for the cabin heat push/pull control. Added a hole for the 12volt accessory plug in the panel. And finished up the switch cutouts. So the panel is now ready to send out for powdercoating.
