Brief Description: Solder-cup DB9 to elevator trim servo
I have a bunch of solder-cup DB9 connectors. Soldered the teeny RAC servo wires to pins 1-5. Put individual heat shrink on the 5 wires in the shielded cable. (No connection to the shield--will be gnded at the panel.) Then a bigger peice of heat-shrink around all 5 wires. Once this is put into the shell, with a turn or two of silicone tape to cushion the cable at the entry hole, the wires will be immobile and strain-relieved quite nicely.
Tested the connections on the bench. The LED indicator for the elevator trim kit doesn't work. Same part from the aileron kit does work. Wonder if RAC will replace it so far out of warranty?
