Got a fresh tube of GE Silicone II "Premium Silicone Gasket and Seal" Stock No. GE283 90647. UPC 77027 00283. This is the same stuff I used for buffering conduit and plastic bushings in the wings. Waterproof, airtight, resists UV/high temp/oil and grease. Permanently flexible. Non-paintable.
Set a generous bead of the stuff around the external step tubing on the inside, where it penetrates the fuselage. Also laid down a bead between the step plate bottom edge and the external fuse skin. This is the place the fuse curves away, so the gap has to be filled with something. I may go back and run a bead around the other three sides of the step plate--surely don't want moisture in there. But I best use a paintable sealer....
Clecoed rear baggage floors and sides in place to drill rear baggage bulkhead covers to F-706. Riveted the hinge halves to the left-side seat pan, clecoed in place, and put the left seat back in place.
Yours truly, first butt in the fuse, Image 1.
No. 2 son, no. 2 butt. Image 2 and 3.
