Brief Description:  Leak test left tank / finish flap angle fab

Bought 10' of 3/8" ID vinyl tubing and a digital thermometer from OSH to make a manometer for the left tank leak test. Initial pump up to ~27" of water (~1 psig) fell visibly. I put a latex glove around the fuel tank cap and some teflon pipe compound on the tubing where it joined the vent AN fitting, then a cable tie to secure it. Pumped up again--level looked steady.

Will keep watch this evening and tomorrow morning, noting temperatures on the thermometer (will average the readings from the probe sitting on top of the tank and the unit resting on the table below it). Combined with the local station barometric pressure, will calculate p/T which is a constant if nothing is leaking out of the tank.

Finished off the flap angle fabrication, rounding and polishing the edges on the Scotchbrite wheel.
