Brief Description:  Tanks

Mixed a batch of Pro-seal. Took out the ribs one at a time on the left tank, starting in the middle, and "buttered" the flanges. Reinserted and clecoed every hole. Did NOT do the most inboard rib--need to take that one out completely to easily get the vent line it, which can't go in until the top skin is riveted.

Buttered the outboard rib nose reinforcement and riveted it on--it won't get in the way of the rest of the rivets. The buttered the flanges and clecoed the outboard rib in place. Will need to put a good fillet of sealant on this rib. Will let the Pro-seal cure for a while before installing the rivets "wet".

Actually, I did a stupido--should have installed and back-riveted the stiffener rivets "wet" before doing the ribs. Mixed a new batch, took apart the right tank, and did that for the right tank stiffeners. Clecoed the right tank back together, then buttered the filler cap rings for both tanks and clecoed in place (along with the vent line clips). Buttered the drain flanges and clecoed in place, then went ahead and installed wet rivets on the drain flanges.

Lots of wiping with MEK soaked rages to get excess Pro-seal off the outsides of the tanks, and from joint lines on the inside (because I don't want lumps interfering when the right ribs and rear baffles.
