Brief Description: Left wing flap attach brackets; pitot tubing
Decided to go ahead and fab the flap brackets so bottom skins could be match drilled. Was much easier to do it now before the ribs are permanently attached to the spares. Clecoed the big brackets on the mid-board and outboard ribs and match-drilled. Then put ribs back into skeleton (has top skins attached) to fit the angle bracket supports. Could do all the work on the inboard bracket without removal since it was at the end.
Smoothed the edges of the bottom inboard skin after match drilling the flap brackets and dimpling their holes. Only the left bottom skin left to dimple and edge smooth.
Enlarged the hole for the pitot tube bulkhead fitting. Cut and fit the pitot tube run for the wing, and the pitot itself. Flared the tube end that will join the bulkhead feedthru (Image1).
If I decide to go with a fancy heated pitot (or the Dynon combined pitot/AOA) I'll have to fill in the enlarged hole, etc. Others have done this.
