Brief Description:  Split emp fairing for better fit

Hours spent on 10/21 and 10/22/2017.

Completed install of all nutplates for emp fairing. Buck bar schlipped on the fwd most top nutplate, but the dent will be covered by the fairing, so no biggie.

Cut rubber strip for right side under-stab fairing.

Found (as have others) that emp fairing won't fit well unless it's split into left and right halves. I also cut out the "lips" that wrap around the stab leading edge. Will lay up new lips to fit much better. Taped and waxed all faying surfaces of the stab and vertical fin to the emp fairing. Mixed up some micro and buttered the faying sfcs of the emp fairing, then smushed the left and right sides into place. Clecos and webbing straps held the edges down. Should have no gaps between the glass and aluminum when it's all done.

There was enough micro left over to custom fit the nose gear fairing to the gear rod down at the wheel fork, as called for in the plans.
