Brief Description:  Horizontal and vertical stabs mounted to the airfr

These are the hours actually spent at the hangar on 6/18. Besides the nose gear pant and fairing, I got the horizontal and vertical stabilizers off of the "aircraft carrier" and bolted then to the airframe with brand new hardware. In many cases, the washer is under the heat of the bolt to avoid tightening nuts inside the cramped quarters of the fuselage.

The bolts were torqued and yellow nail polish (cheaper than Torq-seal!) applied.

In image3 the rudder has been hung with temporary pins. Need to figure out running the electrical cable to the tail position/strobe light, as well asmounting the light to the fiberglass bottom of the rudder. A piece of rubber manifold hose _almost_ fits between the bottom skin and rear tie down. It can be seem dangling down in Image3

The cable would be completely immobilized by the pinched hose and probably never chafe. while the rubber (in a 100F hangar anyway) is very flexible. Need to look at other builders before deciding how to go.
