Brief Description:  Right Elevator

OK, you CAN backrivet the bottom skin stiffeners. When you open the skin, the bend force has to go into the round leading edge of the elevator. Don't bend the top skin against the top spar rivet line. Duuuuh! Finished the stiffener riviting in a jiffy.

Clecoed the right elevator CW and Tip Rib assy to the main elevator. OK, how to rivet this sucker into place. The two AN470AD4-4 rivets going thru the spar flange and rib web bucked relatively easily, For the ones going thru the CW rib flange through the spar web, I put a flat die on the end of a maple stick and taped the bucking bar solidly to that, then put the gun on the rivets from inside the elevator. The two rivets clenched over a little bit, but I think it's OK.

I ground down the nose of the no-hole yoke to get the squeezer on the two main skin, cw skin, cw rib, main spar 426AD3-4.5 rivets. The yoke still caught the edge of the rolled elevator leading edge and the skin was distorted some. Will need to destress the skin later.

Tried bucking the 426AD3-3.5 rivets that connect the cw to main skin on the inside of the elevator. First one was proud of the skin. Drilled out and subbed MK-319-BS pull rivets instead. Squoze and pull riveted the bottom skin to spar, then squoze the root at tip ribs but for the last 3 holes. AEX wedge drilling and fitting is next.
