Brief Description:  Elevator (left ctr wt, right elev full assy)

Clecoed skin of left elevator ctr wt assy to the "floating ribs" per Van's tech support. Drilled new #30 holes, including a line of holes down the center of the rib to better draw the rib webs together. Drilled out the #40 skin holes.

Drilled, deburred and dimpled the three holes that attach in inboard angled end rib to the right elevator spar. Drilled a #12 hole in a peice of 3/8" MDF for the male #40 dimple die. Put the female close qtrs dimple die on the other side, then squeezed the dimple with a small C-clamp.

Need to rivet these pieces together with AN426-3-3.5 csk rivets in order to cleco the elevator horn in place and put the skeleton inside the right elevator. So I used the squeezer and riveted, gently bending the inboard end rib to accomdate the Main Squeeze squeezer. I can drill out these rivets to clean and prime the parts. If the holes get a bit enlarged, I'll install "oops" rivets. Besides, the elevator horn reiforces this area quite heavily.

Once riveted, clecoed on the elev horn, drilled out its holes #30, replaced sliver clecos with copper. Fit spar+end rib inside the right elevr skin; tacked it dwn with a few clecos. Cleco all skin stiffeners back in place (every other hole). Removed the rght ctr weights from right cwt assy to lighten it, and clecoed it in place. All parts of right elevator now clecoed together except for trailing edge.
