Brief Description:  Cowl, main cotters, flow test line

Sanded cowling's "nose job' and hinge pin covers. Shot them with rattle-can sandable primer, still wet in image 1, all flashed off in image 2.

Bought h/w store 1/8x2 cotterpins for the main gear and installed them. Also bought 10' of 5/16 chain--CHP approved for vehicle tie down--and shackle hooks for anchoring the plane for 1st engine start.

Speaking of first engine start, full flight quote from Gallagher was just over $1k--not bad! But I need to complete the BFR and get 2 hrs in type before acting as PIC...so 1st engine start will take a bit of time. There's another transition CFI in Oregon besides Mike Seager so I hope booking a time isn't too far out.

Finally, disconnected the main fuel line at the entrance to the engine fuel pump. Rigged up and elbow and a length of 3/3 Al line at the same AGL as the pump inlet. I'll attach a grounding wire to the Al tube that will dangle in the gas cans catching the gas going overboard when flushing the lines and testing flow rates.
