Brief Description:  Wingtips/Good as Dead Battery

--Painted external canopy handle and cowling covers around nose gear.
--Cowling clearance to the spinner is officially too close. Will need to cut the top part of the cowling back 1/8 to 1/4 and reglass. Consarnit! as they say in family builder logs.
--Painted wingtips w/hi-build primer. Rigged up Karl's engine stand to paint horizontally. (Image 1). Wet sanding (squirting water from a spritz bottle) is evidently source of mucho fisheye. DRY SAND ONLY. The rattle can spit out TON of sandpaper-rough goobers on the frontside of the first tip as well. Will need to redo this wingtip. The other one (dry sanded) is acceptably ugly..
--Got a 13/16" spark plug socket and tried turning over the engine--battery too week to crank more than 5 sec or so. Radio and 7" inch screen go blank--10" screen attached to the back-up battery stays alive. Saw NO oil pressure during two consecutive 5 sec cranks. Must be a consequence of the battery discharging to 0.0 VOC for reasons I never figured out. Got the thing to recharge--but obviously never recovered full capacity. Ordered a new battery.
--Cut the paper template for the main gear fairings. Need to read the instructions how to proceed because there is no "scribe line" on the fiberglass as far as I can see.
--Added 1 layer carbon and 2 layers 9 oz cloth to cowling cut-out covers.
