Really exciting pictures of paint drying on the stab and fin fiberglass tips. Good old Rustoleum gloss white put on just to give the UVs something to eat before reaching the fiberglass. I expect it will all be sanded off when it comes time to paint for real. So if there are a few errors in the paint, who the heck cares. I'll get the last 5 knots out of a professional paint job I'm sure,,,.

One last thing--the locking ring for the throttle control has become very hard to turn. The knurled edge almost taking off finger skin! When I unscrewd the ring all the way, the threads had some sort of brown stuff on them--lubricant that's dried out and gotten gummy I surmise. A shot or two of LPS lube applied to the ring--still around the throttle shaft and in the cockpit. Running the ring in and out several times cleaned up the brown gunk, and the lock ring operates normally, leaving my fingerprints unaltered.
