Brief Description:  Cockpit interior is COMPLETE.

Finished installing all covers in the cockpit. The z-bracket piece forward of the flap motor c-channel had to be filed a bit shorter. Was tricky getting the brackets to align with the fuel valve cover, flat cover, and seat pan cover holes. Inserting a 1/8" pinch and levering eventually got the holes and nutplates close enough to start a screw. That was after opening up the holes to #19 too! Since none of these pieces are structural, loose clearances are fine.

I left the screws for the heat distribution panel untightened because it will come back off for inspection and I want to get a long #2 Phillips driver to reach without bending completely in half to reach. The stepped doghouse over the fuel pump is quite secure without the 4 screws closest to the firewall installed--I think I'll leave them out on purpose. Saves weight, right?

Installed the seat cushions with velcro on pilot and co-pilot sides. Will need to cut the velcro where bridges the removable and non-removable seat pans. Adjusted anti-sub belts and shoulder harnass yoke distances.

Sanding, filler primer, and good old Rusto gloss white applied to the horizontal stab fiberglass tips. Also touched up the vertical fin where a huge hole had been filled with micro several months back.

Took the plastic film off the two Dynon screens. The cockpit is ready to fly!
