Brief Description: Final cockpit placards; misc finish items
Hours for President's day w/e accounted for in previous entry,
Attached placards to throttle, mixture, purge, alt air, and cabin heat controls with 3M 77 spray. Not shown in pictures: applied placards for the glare shield lights and replaced the passenger warning (which was peeling off!) with new wording the FAA has recently mandated.
Cut out new glare shield material (original hopelessly creased) and set it in place with 3M 77 on the trailing edge. Slit neoprene tubing applied to the edge covers (almost--dammit!) all of the cut edge. Debating whether or not to put the smaller dia tubing into place at the front, where canopy meets the skin. Doesn't cover all the foam and epoxy, and non-negligible weight.
Bought 65 lb test, braided fishing line to tie the canopy doghouse insert to the slider bolt. Came out a little long...need to try again.
