Brief Description: Installed flaps; replaced left wing gnd hardware
Work actually done on 1/6; postdated to appear after the 1/6 entry.
Image1 shows a _perfectly_ installed sst cotter pin on the left wing's middle flap hinge point. Grasping the very tip end of the long leg and pulling it around the end of the thread is the key. This makes a tiny "ess" bend, but clipping that off with dikes and pushing on the leg leaves in right on the end of the thread. Same treatment with the short leg leaves it snug on the castle nut. Cotter pin doesn't move. Too bad this was the 6th of 6 pins. :::8^0
Image 2 shows a 10-32 fastener making local ground for the nav/strobe; it replaced an 8-32 because I had a better star washer for 10- than for 8-. The flash lit up the 14AWG wire going to the leading edge taxi/landing light fixture on the penultimate wing rib, and the pitot and aoi lines further inboard.
Image 3 are the notes taken on the white board as I went along today. Better than trying to remember everything done at the end of a session, and having no paper to write on if I did. Just snap an iPhone pic and be done. Diagram of the roll servo wiring pinout needs to be turned into a formal dwg for the electrical schematics.
