Brief Description:  Emp fairing fitting--nutplates

Work done on 30-Sep and 01-Oct-2017.

Installed nutplates (most of them) for the empennage fairing attach. Fit and installed the metal under-stab fairings. Machine-csk the thin sheetmetal despite knife edges. It's just holding a fairing, and I'd rather not csk the longeron to make rooom for dimples. Ugly fit on the ribber seal on the left side...may need to re-do it.

Drilled for four nutplates on the bulkhead just ahead of the vertical fin. Although not explicitly called out in the plans, I drilled out existing rivets, otherwise the nutplates wouldn't have reset flush to bulhead flange due to the fluting.

It was going to be very awkward installing the nutplates with solid rivets. Used AACQ pull rivets instead. They are plenty good to secure nutplates against rotation. That means there are four fewer solid rivets, but 8 added AACQ rivets, plus the clamping force of the screws, bearing on Tinnerman washers through the emp fairing fiberglass.
