Many hours of un-tracked labor later...the winshield fairing is done, inasmuch as it's good enough to fly, but the line at the windshield could be made better when it's time to paint. There's also one more ooopsie on the opposite side that needs filling. (I mistook a piece of black-tinted epoxy/fiberglass for black tape...pulled too hard and broke a piece out.)
First time I sprayed rustoleum hi-build primer, I found a hilly mess in what I thought was a smooth fair cove between the windshield and top skin. Bit the bullet and carved convex hunk of foam to wrap 60 grit sandpaper around and resurfaced the whole damn thing. Looks much better now (and is probably lighter!).
