I got a long strip of red LEDs from Sterin. It's encapsulated in clear rubbery stuff with an adhesive backing to mount under the glareshield. I'll run it with the kit circuit shown in image 1. Bought from http://www.dalewheat.com/news/12v-dimmer-kit-v2-now-available/
The ckt is a pwm controller implemented with an ATtiny13a microcontroller. Handles up to 60W load, PWM frequency is about 100 Hz, so EMI _shouldn't_ be a problem...we'll see. Schematic shown in image 2.
Image 3 is a terminal strip mounted to the bottom skin below the pilots seat pan. There are "ears" attached at each end with csk screws and nylok nuts. The ears have nutplates that csk screws from the other side of the skin engage. The strip can therefore removed as a unit.
The wires in image 3 connect switched power from the main panel (outboard side) to power lines for the Aeroleds nav/strobes on each wingtip.
