Brief Description:  RG400 cable fabrication

A picture of the txpndr (with the screw-on TNC RF connecter at one end) and ADS-B in antenna cables. In the upper left, there is a rt angle BNC crimped to the remaining RG400 cable stock; it hasn't gotten its heat shrink over the crimp or a label yet. The rt angle connector will go on the back of the GTR200 radio.

I got a great deal on a set of AMP hex dies on e-Bay. (List price 0.1 AMU or higher!), which are in the blue handled crimping tool but out of the picture. The $10 RG400 stripper is el cheapo...there are threaded inserts in the plastic body for the set screws that set cutter depth, but they get pushed out by the starting pressure. Had to turn the tool with fingers pushing on the inserts to get half-way decent strips. Not too much hassle, given the small number of RF connectors I have to do for this bird.
