Brief Description: Deburr, dimple, screw up, and repair F-972
Deburred F-972 skin. Made 7/16" holes with unibit for tank vent outlets. Dimpled the #40 holes on the side of the fwd bottom skin. Missed a made a punch-out near one of the holes, turning it into a very ugly figure 8.
I filed away the distorted punched-out material. Then clecoed the lower longeron Al angle (previously countersunk) in place to use as a guide for dimpling in the correct location. This hole is sandwiched between the F-970 skin and the lower longeron, so I'll fill the punched-out material with JB-Weld and it will be OK.
