Brief Description: Tail and center mated; external step holes drilled
Got the center section/tail cone bottom skin joint to fit--took off the baggage floor covers and pulled down on the baggage floor ribs so the tail skin could schlipp in between!
Clecoed the baggage floor ribs to the F-706 bulkhead; clecoed the double-row tail cone/center section skin joint.
Fabricated the F-757S plates the go between the main longerons and the top of F-705. Nestled them in place so there would be no sagging there.
Clecoed the F-970 fwd side skins in place. Letting the tailcone droop a bit got the holes along F-705 to line up. Once the clecos were in place, the center sawhorse bore no weight!
Fabbed a "pilot plate" from 3/8" plywood so the round openings for the external steps could be drilled thru the F-970 skins. Drilled and deburred, and marked out the material to remove on the F-623 corner rib flanges to accomodate the steps.
Fluted and drilled cockpit armrests to the F-970 skins, both sides.
