Completed the aileron installation on the left wing. Could not find the 5/16 dia spacers for the main pushrod's connection to the bellcrank--if I ever made them. So I made a pair from soft hardware store Al rod on the minilathe. Will replace with 6061-T6 tubing next time I put in an order to ACS, Vans, etc.
Aligned aileron with the alignment tool and set the length of the control rod with the bellcrank template. I only tightened the nuts to the start of hard resistance--they have NOT been torqued or torque-sealed. Don't know how many more times the aileron will have to come off.
At least once, because the hole thru the rear spar isn't quite large enough to let the aileron operate to the upper stop: the rod hangs up on the edge--will need to open up the hole with the Dremel.
