Cut the extra material out of the control stick brackets as recommended by the plans. Gave all firewall, center section, and pitot tube mast raw Al parts a final going over to smooth and polish the edges with Scotch Brite pads, wheels, etc. Washed the parts w/Dawn & water, roughing up the surface with Scotch Brite pad. Etched the parts with the Stewart Systems Al cleaner/degreaser. Set up the wire mesh screen on sawhorses for spraying the SS primer/sealer, and did that.
After clean up and dinner, parts were dry enough to assemble the firewall components with clecoes. Back riveted the brake line bracket to the firewall.
