Brief Description:  Programed Dynon and applied labels to panel.

I spent the last few days trying to program the Dynon D180 as the master EFIS for the DSAB (Dynon Smart Avionics Buss). This networks the other Dynon components. The autopilot is essentially the EFIS (D180) and requires calibration and setup. The AP74 is the control head for the autopilot and is networked with the D180. It seemed confusing at first until I actually started putting in the settings. The servos have to be calibrated through their full range of motion with various gains, limits, etc. and then tested. The name of the game is RTFB, dumby. Everything seemed to work OK.

Charlotte finished applying the labels and placards to the instrument panel which was very tedious, but she did a great job. Not only did she apply them to the panel, she also had to print them on the Brother label maker before she could apply them.

I ran through the procedures to time the P-Mag and eveything worked as advertised. Seth Hancock, our tech couselor will come over on Saturday to preoil the engine for the first start. Sometime next week our seat cushions and interior materials will arrive and we will install them. After the installation we will weigh the airplane and calculate the empty weight CG. Things are starting to come together, Yippee!
