Brief Description:  Modified throttle cable to carb support plates

I have gone ahead and modified my throttle cable/carburettor mount plates, using a piece of 7075-T6 aluminium angle extrusion with rod end rivetted to it,Installing these as per the Rans kit ,I found that the pull of the cable onto the throttle arm was quite oblique at some parts of the range including full throttle. The rod end inner bore is 1/4"Diameter and allows the threaded cable retainer/adjuster to pass through it and the adjuster nuts to retain its position. The cable is then routed and attached to the throttle arm,now when the arm moves to where it was an oblique pull before hand the rod end allows the cable direction to vary thus precluding the off set pull. The rod end came from a helicopter(Hughes 500 tail rotor pitch change link) but this idea could be copied using a commercially sourced rod end
