Brief Description: Tail wheel support strap, battery box, primming
The tail spring support straps did not fit as supplied as the 5/16"bolt welded bushing was leaning rearwards at the top and at a angle in relationship to the two 3/16" bolts which were vertical,as the original holes in the straps were drilled at 90* to the plates and no taper this did not allow correct tightening without undue stress and bending of the hard ware.Manufactured two(upper two) new tapered straps and redrilled all three straps after fwd 5/16" bolt had been tightened. This eleviated any misalignment and all three bolts pulled up nicely..note the two bushes on the 3/16" bolts tapered also. Battery box,I've added two .063" angles in addition to the two supplied folded angles, these rivetted to existing box giving more vertical support and security to battery. Primming(US Paints 30-Y-94) some of the components and the Matco hubs prior to top coating and assembly
Modified tail spring straps..incorrect nut on AN5 bolt for pic only
reinforced battery box
primming parts prior to top coat then assembly of wheels ect...
