Brief Description:  Test flying...

More test flying today, started off with basic handling in the circuit, configurations and airspeed verification, side slipping.A series of high speed Vne runs, stalls in different configurations.A check was carried out at Max gross weight to check handling qualities.Door opening in flight also trialled. The airmaster prop also tested in its different settings and verification of prop/engine RPM's conducted.Avioncs trialled and transponder verification in mode "C" also carried out.All engine indications monitored thru out these flights and the only problem was a wandering oil pressure gauge,I replaced the pressure transducer and all good until the system warmed up or had probably 45 minutyes running time then it would wander.I installed a clamp around the sender and attached anothe earth wire between it and the airframe...still had the issue.....well today I removed the clamp and for no obvious reason have a rock steady oil pressure gauge,I think we may have had a air slug somewhere in the area of the sensing hole of the transducer that has releived itself.Ailerons were a little heavy so after attaching some red wool as a rigging aid on the spares and levelling the door longeronand aligning the spade to fly in the same level plane as this all system are perfect. The idea of the red wool is that it flys parallel to the spade in flight when the spade incidence is set correctly. All trimmed I can acheive hands of controls and a very, very stable aircraft.
