Began fabriction of the winscreen/canopy bow glass fairing. I'm using West epoxy and 3" tape 9 oz cut into 3 ft long strips. I used 3 layers of differing colored electrical tape to provide a nice edge.
also, applied 4 layers of duct tape to the canopy and side skirts to ensure Id have enough room for weather sealant and to prevent any binding or scraching of the surface. used both mold release and johnsons paste wax to prevent bonding the canopy.
I layed up the first layer and let it nearly dry before doing the others. Total was 6 layers across the top and only two along the front of the windscreen since it is really glued to the skin via the SIKA.
